Ms. Suggs' class has been studying about Georgia. They learned that Georgia is known as The Peach State because it is one of the top 3 producing peach states in the United States. They identified all the top 3 producing states on a map. Ms. Suggs' students also learned that peaches grow on trees, peaches have a hard pit (seed) in the middle, and a group of peach trees is known as an orchard. The class discussed the benefits of peaches (daily fruit, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and potassium), and that peaches are delicious! Ms. Suggs' class enjoyed fresh peaches and making peach cobbler from fresh peaches!
