The Worth County Rifle Team competed in the first round of the Georgia State Rifle Championship on March 27, 2019. After a very long ride to Dallas, Georgia the team competed against Paulding County High School. The teams were very evenly matched having had almost identical scores throughout the regular season. After the prone position, Paulding County was leading by one point. After the standing position scores came in, Worth County gained a two-point lead. After kneeling position scores were tallied, the Worth County Rams had pulled out a seven-point victory. Worth County finished with a score of 1090 to Paulding Counties 1083. The next state qualifier will most likely be against Georgia Military College Prep School in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Kylee Burrell – Prone Position – 100 (a perfect score), Standing 92
Jessica Gibbs – Kneeling - 95
