WCES Participates in Jump Rope for Heart

Jump rope for heart

Worth County Elementary School recently held its annual Jump Rope for Heart contest.  Several students, 54 to be exact, participated by collecting money to be donated to the American Heart Association (AHA).  On Friday, February 15th, students who raised money competed in a jump off for each grade level.  Members of the Worth County Retired Educators Association (WREA) assisted the coaches in the jump-off.  Winners from each grade level were:

3rd grade - Kaitlyn Curry

4th grade - Brooklyn Youngblood

5th grade - Sher'miah Donaldson

The top fundraiser for the school was 3rd grader Noah Devane who raised $356.  Members of the WREA made a financial contribution to WCES's total as well.  In all, WCES raised $1,355 which will be donated to the AHA.

Coach Warren Juster, Coach Scott Frederick, and Coach Jimmy Hughes would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's Jump Rope for Heart.
