The Worth County Board of Education will hold their regular March meeting on Thursday April 2, 2020 at 7:00 pm.  This meeting will NOT be open for public attendance, but may be viewed at the following link.

Worth County Board of Education Seeks New Superintendent

The Worth County Board of Education is conducting a search for the next Superintendent of the Worth County School System with employment to begin on July 1, 2020.  Worth County Schools is a system with 3,150 students, 5 educational facilities and 401 employees.  Applicants desiring additional information may contact Mr. Tim Helms, Sr., by calling 229-207-0600 or by e-mail at thelms@swresa.org.

2020 Annual Parent Involvement Survey for Georgia Families Raising a Student with a Disability Ga DOE Logo

Worth County School District Teacher of the Year Announced Kaleigh Whitman, WCSD Teacher of the Year 2020

At the January 2020 Board of Education meeting, each school's Teacher of the Year was recognized.  The Board then announced the teacher chosen as the district's Teacher of the Year.  Congratulations to Kaleigh Whitman!

Worth County Schools Supports All Deployed Military Personnel R.E.D. Friday Collage


Worth County Schools showed their support for all military personnel deployed on Friday, 08/09/19 by wearing red as part of R.E.D. Friday.  WCSD has designated the second Friday of each month throughout the school year as R.E.D. Friday (Remember Everyone Deployed) to show support for our military members and their families.  Started in 2016 at Marine Corps Base, Camp LeJeune “Home of the Expeditionary Forces in Readiness”, R.E.D. Friday is a way for anyone to demonstrate support for those deployed in harm’s way.

The Intradistrict Transfer Right does not apply to any Title I school in our District since Worth County Schools has only one elementary, middle and high school.
