Mrs. Bowden's Class Reads The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Bowden's class working on book project

Mrs. Bowden's ELA students read the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas while studying WWII in Social Studies.  The students then constructed a plot mountain for the novel.  This was a pretty big endeavor since it included the entire book.  The project included all the main events, main characters, the conflict, climax, resolution, theme, symbolism, irony, etc. The students worked in small groups and were able to build comprehension and appreciation for the book.  This activity also helped students sharpen their analytic skills.
