2019 Summer Fastpitch Softball Camp WCMS Hosts Softball Camp June 24-26, 2019

WCMS Softball hosts a free fastpitch softball camp for rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.  The camp is scheduled for June 24-26, 2019 with each day starting at 8:30am and ending at 11:00am. Bring a glove.  Contact Coach Moore via email at amoore@worthschools.net if you have questions. 

Reminder: WCMS Football Workouts Start June 11th

Coach Newton reminds all players that WCMS football workouts begin tomorrow, June 11th starting at 8:30am ending at 11:30am.  Workouts are held at WCHS.

April is the month of the military child.  Military students were honored on April 26th at WCMS.

If I Were Mayor Contest Winners WCMS "If I Were Mayor" Contest Winners

Sixth grade students participate in an annual "If I Were Mayor" essay contest.  After they write an essay on that topic, winners are chosen.  The 2019 winners were announced yesterday after Sylvester's Mayor, Bill Yearta, spoke to the sixth grade students about his job as a mayor.

WCMS students will take the Georgia Milestones Test the week of April 15th - 19th.  Georgia Milestones End of Grade Study Resource/Guides are available for parents and students.

On Friday, March 22, 2019, WCMS hosted guests from Dooly County High School.  Mr. Timothy White - Principal, Yulanda Griffin - ELA Teacher and PBIS Team Leader, Yolanda Duncan - Counselor and PBIS Team Member, visited WCMS to learn about the PBIS program.

Worth County Middle School students Braidyn Williams, Judge Dallas, and William Crowe recently competed in the Southwest Georgia Regional Social Studies Fair held at Monroe High School in Albany, GA. Each student won 2nd place for their work.

Unity Baptist Donation WCMS Gives Donation to Unity Baptist

WCSS has jeans days at each school. Proceeds are donated to a charitable organization. WCMS has chosen to donate the proceeds to Unity Baptist Church. Thank you to Unity Baptist for all of the good deeds that you all do within our community.

WCMS Spirit Cheerleaders hosted their home camp over summer break at WCMS gym.  Universal Cheerleaders Association participated in the camp to help coach the girls on fundamentals and team building skills.
