Worth County Board of Education Meetings

The Worth County Board of Education will hold a Work Session on Monday July 13, 2020 at 6:30pm in the Boardroom located at 103 Eldridge Street Sylvester GA.

New 2020-2021 School Calendar

The Worth County Board of Education met in a Called Meeting on Wednesday July 8, 2020 at 6:30 pm and voted to approve a new calendar for the 2020-2021 school year.  The new calendar will move the start date to August 7, 2020.

BE KIND T-Shirts

The BE KIND t-shirts that were sold prior to school being closed will be available for pickup July 28th at 10:00 AM in front of Worth County High School. Shirts that are not picked up will be sent home with students or given to staff once school returns.

School Attendance Options for Fall 2020

Please review the following documents about two learning options for Fall 2020, including the Worth Virtual Academy (WVA).  Those opting to select the WVA should complete the online Registration / Commitment form.  (This is different from the interest form you may have completed in June.)

WCHS Competition and Spirit Cheer Physicals

If you are planning to try out for high school competition or spirit cheerleading, you will need to have an updated physical! The new 2020 physical forms will be outside of the Board of Education starting the morning of May 27.

WCHS Yearbook Update - 5/26/2020

Update on WCHS Yearbook Pickup: Yearbooks will be shipped mid-July and should be ready for pickup near the end of July. Stay tuned for updates. If you did not purchase a book but would like to, extra copies will be available on a first come, first serve basis on the same day we distribute the ordered yearbooks.

Additional SAT Administration Date

College Board announcement regarding SAT:

We're working to ensure that students will have opportunities to take the SAT® to make up for this spring’s lost administrations. Today we're sharing with you that we've added a new SAT administration for Saturday, September 26, 2020. This date will be for the SAT only, in the United States and internationally, with no SAT Subject Tests™ available. Sunday testing for religious reasons will be on September 27.
