The WCMS Environmental Club participated in their bi-annual clean-up day on May 10, 2018. Sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade members, guided by Mrs. Brent Joyner, picked up litter along Isabella Street as part of their obligation to the Adopt-a-Street program. This is a beautification partnership between the City of Sylvester and its citizens to remove rubbish from the streets. The goal of this program is to keep our community cleaner and safer. This is the club’s first year to participate in the program. Mrs. Joyner said, “These students are truly amazing. They come out here with a good attitude and work hard all day. They believe in this cause and want to do what they can to make their community a better place. They are inspiring.” The city has posted a street sign near the corner of Isabella and Bryant Drive announcing the adoption of Isabella Street by the WCMS Environmental Club.
