Carsen Goodwin Advances to State!!!!!

After winning the ABAC Science Fair, Carsen Goodwin is excited to go to UGA on March 27th to attend a competition there.  Click here to view his abstract. 

Jr. Beta Club supports Breast Cancer Research!!!!!!

Worth County Middle School Junior Beta Club worked very hard in October to collect money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of the faculty, staff, and students they were able to donate $883.50 to this cause. GA Milestones Information from Mrs. Sevier!!!!!!!

Dear parents,

We have 28 days until the GA Milestones Spring Test Administration.  Please make sure that your child is attending school everyday and all day long.  Also, make sure that your child is attending the following every day:  Instructional Ramp Up, Intervention or Acceleration, and Saturday School.  All of these programs were designed to ensure that your child has every opportunity to receive the benefits of everything we offer at WCMS.

WCMS Chorus members attended the Broadway show, WICKED, at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.  

1000 Books B4 Kindergarten

Symphony Celebration!!!!!!!!

Mrs. Melissa Folsom's homeroom class has a 100% completion rate for Symphony.  Mrs. Folsom rewarded them with a chips/dip celebration since all have completed the Symphony program.  Way to go Mrs. Folsom and students!!!!!!!!!!

WCMS welcomes Officer Howard Fowler.  Officer Fowler will replace Officer Henry Duncan who is transferring to the High School.  We will miss Officer Duncan and wish him well at his new location.  We look forward to having Officer Fowler at our school.

Saturday School Program!!!!!!!!!!!!!

March Saturday School Dates:  March 7th and March 21th.

Time:  8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 

Saturday School is a tutoring program that offers additional hours of tutoring for students. Also, attendance in Saturday School will help students with any unexcused absence that they have on their student records.  Please contact Mr. Donald Edwards with questions and concerns regarding Saturday School.  See attachment for all of the Saturday School dates at WCMS.  


January Good Citizenship Awards go to:  Gracie Bledsoe - 6th Grade, Mya Allen - 7th Grade, and Zachary Yarber - 8th Grade. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Georgia Parent Survey
Please take a moment to complete the Georgia Parent Survey. It contains 24 questions, and parents are able to complete the survey using their personal computers, smartphones or iPads. For parents who do not have access to the Internet, please contact Parent Coordinators for assistance. It is not mandatory for parents to participate, but all parents are encouraged to complete the Georgia Parent Survey. The data from this survey will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online. The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.


Students are allowed to use calculators on the Georgia Milestones.  For more information, click here.
