Two WCSD Staff Members are Heroes

Hank Hobby and Rose Warren - Heros for saving two student's lives

This week, two of our Worth County School District staff are considered heroes after saving students who were choking.

Worth County Elementary School teacher, Hank Hobby, saw a child choking on a jawbreaker and without a second thought, quickly administered the Heimlich maneuver on the student to save him.

A WCSD Bus Driver, Rose Warren arrived at WCHS to pick up students and a student ran to her in distress, grabbing his throat.  She performed the Heimlich maneuver causing the candy to dislodge and save the student.

Worth County Schools is very proud of the actions of these two staff members for stepping in to do whatever is needed to keep our students safe.  Both students are ok.
