The WCHS 2019 Homecoming Dance will be on October 19th from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the WCHS Gymatorium.  Homecoming tickets are on sale now. Each ticket is $20.00 and includes two 5X7 pictures. Tickets may be purchased before school, during both lunches, or after school in the Media Center. WCHS students bringing guests that do not attend WCHS may pick up a Guest Verification Form in the Media Center. View the link below for information regarding dress code.

WCHS Senior Students in Mr. Shemwell's Classes Participate in Beowulf Mock Trial WCHS Senior Students in Mr. Shemwell's Classes Participate in Beowulf Mock Trial

Recently, seniors in Mr. Shemwell's classes completed a study of Beowulf with mock trials that put the monster, Grendel, and the hero, Beowulf, on trial for murder. The students had five days to prepare for the prosecution and defense, gather evidence, and witnesses.  The trials took place over two days and ended with the jury reaching a verdict.

WCHS Credit Repair/Recovery Sessions WCHS Credit Repair/Recovery Sessions

Worth County High School will have Credit Repair/Recovery sessions available for students who earned 69 or below in a course for the first nine weeks. Credit Repair/Recovery will be available for Math, English/Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.  Sessions will run from October 14 through October 25, from 3:30 to 4:30. See Mrs. Ray for room assignments.

WCHS/WCMS Cross-Country Meet Results - Bainbridge Bearcat Invitational - September 21, 2019 B. Zupko and E. Zupko 9-21-19

WCHS student, Brianna Zupko, came in 2nd-place at the Bearcat Invitational on Saturday, September 21, 2019, in Bainbridge with a time of 20:47. The WCHS boys team came in 12th with 20 teams attending the race. WCMS student, Eyan Zupko, came in 7th place with a time of 13:04. Awesome job to all! #GoRams #RamPride

WCHS/WCMS Cross-Country Meet Results - Lee County Invitational - September 7, 2019 WCHS/WCMS Cross-Country Meet Results - Lee County Invitational - September 7, 2019

Worth County Cross-Country (XC) runners faced the most challenging competition to-date this past weekend in Lee County.  With over 19 schools represented at the Lee County Invitational on Saturday, September 7th, and temperatures in the upper 90's, the WCHS/WCMS XC boys and girls did very well.  Eyon Zupko placed 4th in middle school boys with a personal best time of 12:39.10.  Middle school boys (Eyon Zupko, Kason Mullen, Hunter Johnson, Hunter Larson, and Emiliano Torres) as a team placed 8th.  Middle school girls (Rayonnia Woodard, Ana Resendez, McKayla Gay, and Alexia Sokolowsky) as a team placed 10th. Though the high school boys did not place in the top 10, all had personal best times.  Brianna Zupko placed 6th with a time of 21:36.40. Fantastic job!  We are so proud of all of the Cross-Country runners! Go Rams!

Congratulations to Brianna Zupko and Conner Mullen! Brianna came in 1st place for HS Girls at the Cook County Invitational with a time of 21:24 beating her previous race time by 1 minute. Conner Mullen came in 3rd place for HS boys with a time of 19:22 also improving his time by over 1 minute. Way to go! Go Rams!

Congratulations to Brianna Zupko! She placed 7th in the HS Girls competition with a time of 22:05.3 at the Furlow Fast Feet Invitational in Americus on Saturday, August 24th. She also improved her time by 1:18 from her previous race. Way to go, Brianna!

Pictured is the 2019-20 Work-Based Learning students.  Work-Based Learning provides students with opportunities for instruction in both academic and occupational skills, career exploration, and guidance in identifying employment and educational goals.  Worth County High School's Work Based Learning Program is under the direction of Ms. Tina Pate.
